What Are Hydrophobic Silicone Oils?

Hydrophobic silicone oils are organosilicon compounds with a dimethyl siloxane (PDMS) structure. Methyl groups create low surface energy; they are immiscible with water and leave water-repellent, slippery, and protective films on surfaces.
